weird Bean in a bubble

You've surely noticed the floating fetus to the left over there. I cribbed this thing from S's blog because it's a little creepy, a little fun, and a lot mesmerizing. I could watch that thing float around for hours. Okay, maybe for 15 minutes. I noticed today that the Bean seems to be a bit tan and s/he's sleeping. And sucking his/her thumb. Huh. Who the hell makes this weird fetus? And how do they decide that it's sleeping? And please notice the umbilical cord. Weird.
